Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing UHM Studio. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. We look forward to seeing you for your upcoming booking.

TERMS OF SERVICE

1. For all mobile work, a minimum call out fee is $200 plus travel. All other bookings are held in-house at 241 Swan St. Richmond, Victoria3121.

2. All UHM Studio prices are subject to change without notice.

3. All bookings made with UHM Studio are confirmed only once a booking deposit has been received. 

4. Bookings are not held or secured without a deposit. Deposits must be paid within 48 hours of receiving a booking quote.

5. Client(s) for any kind of makeup application booking must be prepared to start at the booked start time with a clean face without any sort of makeup or fake tan (on the face) to avoid additional fee for removal.

5a. UHM Studio may refuse service if any active contagious skin or health conditions appear on the client(s) on the day of the booking such as cold sores, pink eye, and/or contagious influenza to name a few.

6. Client(s) for any hair styling booking must have their hair ready at the booked start time according to prep guidance given by the hair stylist(s). Failure to do so will incur additional charges for any procedures needed to be done to prepare the hair for styling. For example; if hair is wet on arrival, the client will be charged an extra fee for blow drying.

6a. Unless booked for a hair blow wave service, if hair can not be styled without washing, UHM Studio will refuse service. 

7. UHM Studio has the right to  take and publish images of the client/s on it's website, social media and/or other promotional material. 

8. Client(s) will be charged a late fee of $25.00 for every 15 minutes of delay caused by client during the appointment.

9. UHM Studio has the right to cancel your appointment with no refund on deposit if there is a client delay of more than 15 mins.

10. In the event that a bridal trial is/can not be booked, the client(s) must adhere to the application choices selected by the artist on the day of the wedding.

11. Client(s) agree to hold responsibility of reporting any skin conditions or sensitivities to the makeup artist prior to application.

PAYMENT

1. All bookings will require a non refundable non transferable deposit of 50% of the total quoted price for service within 48 hours of confirming booking payable via cash, bank deposit and/or online bank transfer to secure the booking. Failure to do so may result in booking to be cancelled. 

2. For bridal bookings invoices are to be paid 7 days prior to the wedding date via cash, bank deposit and/or online bank transfer. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation of the booking.

3. All booking (except bridal) invoices are to be paid on the day of your booking by cash or online bank transfer.

4. UHM Studio does not accept card payments.

TRAVEL

1. An early call out fee of $20 will apply for bookings starting at 7am or earlier.

​2. All travel costs are quoted for mobile jobs.

3. Travel costs may include but not limited to parking costs, valet costs, and/or toll fees. 

4. Travel costs for interstate and overseas bookings may include (but are not limited to): airfare, hotel, transportation, parking, service incidentals and/or all taxes. 

COVID-19 LOCKDOWN/RESTRICTIONS

In the case of an unexpected COVID-19 lockdown and/or restrictions:

  1. Booking deposits are not refundable and/or transferable.

  2. Bookings can be postponed to another date provided UHM Studio is available on that date.

CANCELLATIONS/CHANGES

  1. In the event that UHM Studio is unable to perform the services agreed upon, UHM Studio will allocate another hair and/or makeup  artist to the client(s). 

  2. Any changes and/or cancellations of booking dates and/or times by the client(s) will forfeit the booking with no return on the deposit; and will require a new quote with a new deposit to be made within 48 hours of new booking.

  3. For all bridal/wedding bookings with less than 62 days notice of any reductions in the booked number of people will not incur any changes to the quoted price.

  4. All bookings (except bridal) with less than 14 days notice of any reductions in the number of people booked will not incur any changes to the quoted price.

  5. UHMSTUDIO HAS THE RIGHT TO CANCEL/REFUSE/ABORT SERVICE TO ANYONE if our staff member(s) feel uncomfortable, threatened, verbally and/or physically abused in any way. Legal charges will be made for any kind of abuse, threat, and/or violence on any of the UHM Studio staff member(s).
